April Cushing

The Ruskin Neighborhood Community Development Corporation was founded with help from St. Matthew's Apostle Church to establish a CDC in our neighborhood to procure grants and funding for our community. April worked on the development of the formation with St. Matthew's CCO. After formation and several board of directors April Cushing became a member of the Board of Directors. She is currently the President of the Ruskin Neighborhood Community Development Corporation. RNCDC works with contributors such as True Value Distribution Center to obtain supplies to help people restore their homes. Pursuit of grants and programs through the city, state and federal governments help our community improve many aspects. Our schools have worked with community improvement projects. Students learn to take back their community in their stewardship and pride.
